LADDER LEAGUES GUIDELINES

Guidelines

These guidelines have been established by the LPC Ladder League Committee to create a competitive, fair, and enjoyable experience for all participating members. Each season, we build on what we’ve learned and incorporate member feedback through post-season surveys to continually improve the LPC Ladder League experience.

LPC LADDER LEAGUE GUIDELINES

DAYS & LEVELS & TIMES

3.75 Monday, 2.5 Tuesday, 4.0/4.5+ Wednesday, 3.50 Thursday, 3.0 Friday

NEW: 2.5 Tuesday 7:30-9:00pm or 5pm-6pm?

NEW: 4.5+ (Advanced) – 8pm slot on 4.0 night

CHOOSING YOUR LEVEL

Please register for the level that best reflects your current competitive play. We reserve the right to move you up or down, based on your play.

2.0-2.5 Novice focus on:

  • Rules & Scoring

  • Serving the ball in

  • Hitting the ball over

 

3.0 Advanced Beginner - proficient in above &

  • Better Consistency and Control

  • Consistent serve and return of serve

  • Basic Shots

  • Third Shot Strategy

  • Learning when to come to the net

 

3.5 Intermediate players- proficient in above &

  • Decent rallies

  • Communication and play strategy

  • Can play both a “soft” and “hard” game

  • Directional control and placement

  • Increasing drop shots and dinking

 

3.75 - Advanced Intermediate - proficient in above &

  • More consistent version of a 3.5

  • Fewer unforced errors

  • Better control and resetting

  • Improved court positioning

 

 4.0+ Advanced players - proficient in above &

  • Strategy - anticipating opponents moves and weaknesses

  • Control pace of game using finesse and power

  • Proficient in third shot drops and dinking

4.0 – 4.5+ (Competitive Level) - This is a highly competitive session.

To participate in 4.0-4.5+, you must meet at ONE of the following:

• DUPR rating of 4.0+ or Pickleball Brackets
• Regularly compete in 4.0 tournaments
• Approval from LPC Committee

🔹 FORMAT

• 90-minute sessions
• 3 courts / up to 12 players
• Winners move up, Losers move down, Partners Split

We will track WINS & LOSSES for each game.

👉 Teams may be adjusted as needed to maintain competitive and balanced play

REGISTRATION • First-come, first-served - Session filled with 12
• ONE level and ONE time slot per session, per person

When the session is full:  Sign up on Wait List. Players will be given the first option as Subs.

🔹 MINIMUM PLAYERS - 8 players is required for a session. If more than 8 players register:

• Players 1–8 → Confirmed
• Players 9–12 → Complete the group if space allows
• Additional players → Sub List 

🔹SUBS -Players are responsible for finding own subs
• Subs must be at the same level
• Use the Sub List provided below (phone # required)

🔹 ATTENDANCE

Consistency is important - missing more than 2 sessions in a month, may result in being dropped

🔹 TIME OF PLAY - If a session does not meet minimum participation, time slots may be combined to 6:00pm-7:30pm

IMPORTANT

• Register for only one level and one session
• Players may be moved to a different level if needed to maintain competitive balance
• Ladder League is both competitive and social — good sportsmanship is expected.
