Volunteers
Volunteers Are the Heart of the LPC!
The Lakeshore Pickleball Club is a nonprofit organization that depends on our members pitching in and getting involved. Volunteering is one of the best ways to meet new people, build connections, and make a direct impact on our growing pickleball community. We are grateful to each and every volunteer! “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” ~Helen Keller
Why Volunteer?
ALL of the activities the club provides (programs, events, and community improvements) are conducted, managed and designed by volunteer club members. Without a volunteer’s idea and time and effort to implement an idea, many of the benefits of the club would not exist. Whether you have a few hours a month or can help more often, every bit counts!
Volunteer Opportunities
Most volunteer roles are short-term or event-based — there’s something for everyone!
-
Tournaments – Help with one of our three annual events.
-
Intro to Pickleball Clinics – Tuesday evenings, May through mid-July and indoors at the YMCA at various times.
-
Maintenance Days – A couple of hours on a Saturday in the fall or spring at Mulligan’s Hollow.
-
Youth Instruction – Support youth programs through NORA REC.
-
Committees – Work with the LPC Board on social events, club initiatives and more.
-
Got an Idea?
Have an idea for an event, clinic, or program? We’d love to hear it!
Just remember — great ideas only come to life when members roll up their sleeves to help design, plan, and make them happen.
No Minimum Commitment
There’s no minimum requirement for volunteering!
Some members help for one event, others three times a week — whatever fits your schedule is appreciated.
Thank You!
We’re so grateful to everyone who gives their time, energy, and enthusiasm to make the LPC and the Grand Haven pickleball community stronger.
👉 Please consider how you can help — there’s a place for everyone who loves pickleball and wants to make a difference!
